Architecture
What is Architecture?
Architecture is one of the most influential professions in our global society. It influences the way in which the built environment is planned designed, made, used and maintained. Architecture brings together the arts, environmental awareness, sciences and technology.
Why should I choose Architecture?
If you're the kind of person who is curious about your surroundings, then you might just be interested in learning how to improve them. As an architect you would have the power and responsibility to shape the environments in which people spend their daily lives. This makes architecture one of the most influential professions on today's society.
India has only 50,000 registered architects as against the requirement of 500,000. So, high prospects of job opportunities, in 1000s of offices in private sector and 100s in public sector are awaiting an architect.
Many architects become specialists in heritage, sustainable design or commercial projects. However, because an architect’s skills and training are so broad, there are also many opportunities outside mainstream architecture practice.
